For 911 Centers and Response Agencies
What SPAG provides
Equipment and network
SPAG maintains the 911 call-handling equipment in each center and the network that carries calls to it. Call us for repairs, planned maintenance, or changes to your center.
Call (806) 762-8721Training
SPAG pays for the training your telecommunicators choose to take. Send SPAG Public Safety the classes they want, and we take it from there.
Licensing
SPAG handles state telecommunicator licensing paperwork for the region’s 911 centers.
911 map data
SPAG GIS keeps the roads, addresses, and boundaries on your 911 map current. When a caller’s location, an address, or a road shows up wrong, report it with the map-error form below.
Upcoming Trainings
No trainings are scheduled right now. New ones are posted here and on the calendar.
Report a map error
A caller shown in the wrong place, a missing address, a road with the wrong name: tell SPAG GIS and we’ll fix the 911 map.
For an equipment or network problem, call (806) 762-8721.
Regional 911 advisory committee
Representatives from the region’s 911 centers and local governments advise SPAG on the regional 911 plan, equipment, and spending. Meetings are open to the public.
The next meeting date will be posted here. Call (806) 762-8721 to ask about it.
April 11 to 17, 2027
National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week
Every April, SPAG thanks the telecommunicators who answer 911 across the South Plains. We bring gift bags to the region’s 911 centers, with a different theme each year.
